This privacy policy explains how AudioConvert works when you convert audio or transcribe a recording.

Audio files and transcripts

Your chosen files are processed in your browser on your device. We do not upload your audio or video to a processing server. Transcripts are created locally. File names, recordings, and transcript text are not sent to us by these tools.

Results remain in the current page until you download or copy them. Closing or refreshing the page clears the working file list. Downloaded files are managed by your device and browser.

Resource downloads

The converter downloads an audio engine from this site when you start a conversion. Speech transcription downloads its recognition engine from this site and the Whisper Tiny model from Hugging Face after you click Transcribe audio. These downloads can involve substantial data and require an internet connection on first use.

Resource providers receive ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and the requested resource URL. Your selected audio is not included in those requests. Hugging Face’s handling of resource requests is covered by its privacy policy.

Browser storage and caching

Your browser may cache application resources and speech models to avoid downloading them again. Browser storage limits, private browsing, or clearing site data may remove these resources. This site does not intentionally save your selected recordings or transcripts in persistent browser storage.

Website requests and support

Cloudflare hosts this website and may process standard request and security logs, including connection information, to deliver and protect the service. Google Analytics receives limited tool funnel events for a tool view, start, successful completion, and download. These events can include the tool, file count, input type, output format, selected preset, and whether the download was individual, ZIP, TXT, SRT, or VTT. We do not send file names, audio, video, transcript text, or subtitle text to analytics services, and we do not use advertising trackers.

If you contact support@audioconvert.online, your email provider and ours process your message. We use the details you send to respond to your request. Please describe the problem without attaching private recordings unless you intend to share them.

We also use Plausible, served from stats.aceailabs.com, to understand page visits and how visitors find this site. Your selected files and transcript text are not sent to Plausible.

Your choices

You can cancel processing, remove selected files, close the tab, or clear cached site data through browser settings. Contact us with questions about this policy or to request deletion of information you provided through support.
